The main point of this blog is to share what I know about depression. I claim no cures, no crazy scientific discovery of my own, just a lifetime of experience trudging through this mental tar

In the past I have dealt with this disease poorly. I have tried to ignore it, I tried to hate it out of me, I tried to guilt it out of me, and when I finally did try to get real help, I was poorly taken care of. Only recently have I gotten real help and subsequently have started getting better. I now have the strength to reach out to those of you who are on this same path with only a bleak future (if one at all) in sight.

I am not 100% cured, either, but I am doing better all the time. So maybe I can share something to give someone hope--whether of recovery or at least so they know someone else has been where they stand now--and you, dear reader, are welcome to share as well.

We are in this together, so let's stick together.
